I did it! I eked out four more paintings created with my handmade stamps.
I am not very good at showing restraint, but I tried very hard today not to go over-the-top!
I tried to keep these 11×14″ prints simple and understated. In fact, surprise, surprise, I actually kept some of the paper white and unused (that’s a big deal!)
These were the stamps I chose today.
I first started with the flowers.
To my surprise, I unintentionally use similar colors for the flowers in all 4 prints. I then decided that I was going to create all 4 vases in the same color. Instantly Tiffany blue came to mind. The primary colors are red, yellow, & blue. Since the flowers are red and yellow, it would make perfect sense for the vase to be blue. Red and yellow mixed, create orange and orange’s compliment is blue.
Lastly, I chose the background to be the same color as the vases (that was where I tried to keep things simple).
All in all, these little paintings are very sweet. Maybe I’m partial, but that blue is one of my favorites.
I also hate to say it, but this might make some very fine bathroom art!
hee hee hee.
So That’s it, tomorrow my kids are off to camp and I may have an opportunity to actually start on something new.
Until then, everybody enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Thanks.
I love these stamps! The vibrant colors you’re using them with are just perfect.
